Where Beer Tastes Like Beer

We are an independent craft producer of cask and bottle-conditioned beers. Opened in 1997 brewing for our flagship pub, The Talbot at Knightwick in Worcestershire (www.the-talbot.co.uk).

With steady growth, we now have a portfolio of pubs we produce for, as well as supermarkets, independent stores and wholesale businesses across our local counties. We are proud that all the hops we use are grown in Worcestershire & Herefordshire and all the barley used to make our malt is domestically grown here in the UK.

Our Beers

The flavour profile of our beers are inspired by the hops grown in our native Worcestershire & Herefordshire and the barley used to make our malt is domestically grown here in the UK.

Our beers are ‘bottle conditioned’, which means the ale is unfiltered and unpasteurised to maintain the same quality and flavour as the cask version. Most of our ales are available as cask or in bottles. All of our beers are winners of either the covereted Great Taste or SIBA Awards.

All the easy-drinking virtues of a light ale. Brewed with Worcestershire Challenger and Goldings hops to give a vivid hop aroma and a subtle bitterness. Perfect with a light lunch or to quaff on its own.

– Hops: Challenger and Sovereign hops

A chestnut coloured best bitter brewed with crystal malt to give a robust malt flavour. Challenger and Sovereign hops give a bitterness to balance any sweetness.

 

WOTEVER NEXT 5.0%

– Dark Ale

– Hops: Pilgrim and Cascade hops

A strong, dark and bitter beer. The distinctive dry finish derives from chocolate malt, Pilgrim and Cascade hops. A long fermentation leaves leaves little sweetness behind.

 

TALBOT BLONDE 4.4%

Golden Ale

– Hops: Worcestershire Pilgrim and Minstrel

A golden and hoppy ale, using Pilgrim and Minstrel hops to balance the light biscuit malt flavours, producing a very drinkable beer and holder of a Great Taste Award.

 

HOP NOUVELLE 4.1%

Hoppy Aromatic Ale

– Hops: Worcestershire Green Hops

Brewed using green un-kilned hops from local farms. Green hops are harvested and then pitched to the beer within an hour of picking to give more aroma and flavour. 

 

HEARTHWARMER 6.0%

Rich Warming Ale

– Hops: Sovereign and Cascade

A rich winter beer fermented over 7 days to give a pleasant dry finish. Flavours of crystal and chocolate malts, Pilgrim, Sovereign and Cascade hops to mingle.
